“(Catholic) Christianity is a false religion,” declares one Jehovah Witness publication. In response to this, a Russian court has decreed that the JW’s are “offensive” and are an “extremist group.” Their books are banned, and their churches have been confiscated. What if Russia finds that the Catholic Catechism is “offensive” to the Orthodox state-sanctioned church? Could the Catholic Church go the way of the Jehovah’s Witnesses?
