A Malaysian court last week declared that it’s nation only Catholic publication was permitted to use the word, “Allah.” The Herald’s website has since been hacked several times. Today, hundreds of Muslim extremists are protesting. Further anti-Catholic violence is feared. See CNA for updates.

In response to this, a Russian court has decreed that the JW’s are “offensive” and are an “extremist group.” Their books are banned, and their churches have been confiscated. What if Russia finds that the Catholic Catechism is “offensive” to the Orthodox state-sanctioned church? Could the Catholic Church go the way of the Jehovah’s Witnesses?

They have asked Pope Benedict to immediately become a vegan. Eliminating meat and dairy products, the environment might be saved from global climate change, according to PETA.
