  1. I just heard a commentary by Catholic apologist Patrick Madrid who insists that the death penalty is moral and just — and consistent with Church teaching.

  2. Its simple. Exodus 20: 13 “You shall not kill”.

  3. While the Catholic Church does not outright condemn the death penalty, perhaps we should reflect on the wise words of Pope John Paul II who did not support the death penalty. Who are we to think we are more wise than a Pope — and probably future saint?
